How our marketing process works for trades businesses

Our process has five clear stages: an initial call, setup, launch, weekly reporting, and ongoing content. We have designed it to be as clear and undemanding as possible, because we understand the pressures on your time. There is no complicated onboarding, no lengthy paperwork and no unnecessary hurdles — and it is the
same regardless of your trade.

STEP 01   ·   Day 0

Discovery call

A 30–45 minute call before anything is proposed. We cover current lead flow and close rate, average job value, service area, what’s already been tried on ads, and what a good month looks like. It’s also where we check the fit is right — not every trades business is ready for paid lead generation.

Output: fit assessment + proposed retainer        Owner: Louis

STEP 02   ·   week 1

Partnership & access handover

Once they’re signed on, we get set up as their marketing partner rather than a vendor relaying instructions. Admin access to their Meta and Google ad accounts is handed over so campaigns are built and run directly from our side, along with the brand basics — logo, existing footage, reviews, pricing, service areas, and any offers they want to lead with.

Output: ad accounts connected       Tools: Meta Business Suite

STEP 03   ·   week 1

Lead-qualifying funnel

Before any spend goes live, we build the click funnel every ad will point to. It asks what a receptionist would — job type, urgency, postcode, rough budget — so the client only gets notified about leads worth calling back. Tracking and pixels go on at the same time so future spend can be optimised against qualified leads, not raw clicks.

Output: funnel live, notifications wired to client       Tools: Perspective

STEP 04   ·   week 1-2

Content filming

An on-site filming day with the client’s team — vans, live jobs, before-and-afters, a few short interviews. The brief stays the same across every client: educational, occasionally funny, never a hard sell. This first shoot sets the content bank for launch; we come back to reshoot every 2–3 months to keep it current.

Output: raw footage bank     Cadance: reshot every  2-3 months

STEP 05   ·   week 2

Editing

Raw footage is cut into a batch of ready-to-post assets — short-form ad creative, organic reels and posts, and a couple of longer pieces for the website. Captions, hooks and branding go on in the edit, and the client signs off on the batch before anything goes live.

Output: approved content batch

STEP 06  ·   week 2-3

Upload & publish

Approved assets go up on the client’s ad accounts and organic channels. Organic keeps posting on a steady schedule between shoots so the profile stays active even in weeks without a fresh filming day — paid and organic run together, not one instead of the other.

Output: ads staged, organic queue live

STEP 07  ·   week 3

Ad spend launch

Budget is set against what the client can actually handle — job value, close rate, and the size of their service area — not a flat number picked in advance. Campaigns go live pointing straight at the qualification funnel, and spend is watched closely in the first few days so targeting and creative can be adjusted early.

Output: campaigns live, budget set

STEP 08   ·   week 4-5

Results window

It takes roughly 1–2 weeks of consistent spend for the ad platforms to optimise delivery and for a real read on cost-per-qualified-lead to emerge — judging performance before then is judging noise. Weekly calls with the client start here and run for the life of the retainer, covering lead volume, spend, and what’s working.

Output: first performance read     Cadence: weekly calls begin

THEN IT REPEATS

The retainer keeps running month to month: weekly calls continue on spend and lead quality, the funnel and creative get optimised against real qualified-lead data instead of guesses, and the client gets reshot every 2–3 months so the content bank never goes stale. Steps 4–8 are the cycle that repeats for the life of the client.

The ongoing relationship

Continuous improvement, month after month

This is the real strength of the approach. Once everything is established and running, it operates reliably in the background. You are free to concentrate entirely on the work you do best, while we concentrate on the marketing. Every month, we continue to refine and improve the results, ensuring your investment works progressively harder for you.

There are no restrictive contracts designed to trap you, no unexpected charges appearing on your invoice, and no hidden conditions in the small print. There is simply one clear monthly fee, and a dedicated marketing team working on your behalf as though your business were our own.
